The village of Streetsville is named after its founder, Mr. Timothy Street. In its history Streetsville served as the hub for the surrounding farming communities due to its access to water for milling and other industries.

Streetsville is one of the oldest communities in Mississauga it is close to 200 years old. The historic village and surrounding community is safe, small and affluent and boasts a community of 50,000 residents.

Queen Street is the main cog in the historic village of Streetsville. It boasts a small town charm with boutique stores, cozy restaurants, historic buildings, great hair salons and a great neighborhood feel that promotes an active lifestyle.

 

Streetsville is serviced by its own GO station which allows residents to access other parts of Mississauga as well as being in downtown Toronto in a short period of time. Not only in Streetsville centrally located it has direct access to both the 401 and 403 highways. Mississauga transit also provides services within Streetsville

 

 

 

Go station There are two major cultural events that mark the calendar in Streetsville. One is The Bread and Honey festival which is held the first weekend of June. A parade with live entertainment sprinkled throughout the village as well as street sales by local merchants make this a can't miss event. In the month of December jolly St. Nick makes his yearly visit in the Streetsville Santa Claus Parade. Hot choclate and Christmas spirit flood Queen Street as the parade makes it's way through town.
